Nancy Gaitan-Kernell R.N., CHPN

Owner/Administrator

Nancy was born in the neighboring town of Lockney, and was raised her entire life in Plainview, Texas. She is a graduate of Plainview High School and received her nursing degree from Amarillo College in 1996. She serves as Board President for the Texas New Mexico Hospice Organization.   Nancy is passionate about the hospice philosophy and is dedicated in educating the community about hospice care, and assuring the patients of Area Community Hospice receives the best care Hospice has to offer.

Laura Castillo

Alternate Administrator

Laura is one of the original staff members. She has over 14 years of hospice experience and is dedicated to providing compassionate care to patients and their families.  Laura is also from Plainview.   She and her husband Benito have 3 children and 5 grandchildren.    Her experience and leadership are invaluable to Area Community Hospice.
