Welcome to our Website

Hello, I’m Nancy Gaitan-Kernell, R.N.  Administrator of Area Community Hospice and, on behalf of the entire Area Community Hospice staff, I’d like to welcome you to our website.

Our goal is to provide you with information designed to help, answer any questions you may have regarding hospice, no matter what role you play in end-of-life care.

Area Community Hospice is proud to be locally owned and operated  by trained professionals who not only live in Plainview, but are very proud to be a part of this community.

Area Community Hospice was started with the belief that no person should die alone.
We recognize death as a part of life's journey and we are committed to providing comfort, dignity, & hope to those with life limiting illnesses one patient at a time.

We have been truly blessed and have expanded from a staff of three with one medical director, to a staff of eighteen with three medical directors. Our staff members have proudly served the health care profession and have over 30 years of combined experience in hospice care.

If you are one of the many individuals and families in our area who have had experience with Area Community Hospice, we’d love to hear from you. Please tell us about your experience, in our Guestbook Section.

If you are interested in becoming a Area Community Hospice Volunteer, please visit our Volunteer Section of this website.

And, before you leave, please take a moment to provide us with any feedback you see fit. If you found the website useful, let us know. If you can think of ways in which we might make it even more helpful, we’d be just as eager to hear about that.

Our goal with this website, just as in everything we do, is to serve our community in the most effective manner possible.

We proudly serve Hale, Floyd, Swisher, Lamb, Briscoe,  Lubbock and Castro Counties.
We hope you’ll allow us to serve you.
